"The Last One to Know" peaked at #102 on the Billboard 200 (making it McEntire's first appearance on the chart) and #3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. It was certified platinum by the RIAA with sales of 1,000,000.
Critical Reception[]
Tom Roland of Allmusic wrote that the album is "understandably heavy on songs about breakups and the uncertainty of the future, "The Stairs" -- about domestic violence -- is particularly moving. Despite her personal pain, she still holds out hope in "Love Will Find Its Way to You."
