Critical ReceptionEdit

David Jeffries from Allmusic wrote that Far East Movement's "slick hooks and ultra-sheen productions are extra infectious, and when they bait the crowd with phrases like “Cherry cherry, boom boom” instead of “C’mon everybody,” the dancefloor gets a unique shot of quirky cuteness."

Entertainment Weekly gave the album a "B"-minus, writing: "Free Wired stretches out the silly electro party for a full 40 minutes. None of the hooks are terribly original, but they’re sturdily designed for maximal radio and club play."
