"Merry Christmas with Love" debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200, selling 270,000 copies. By the end of 2004, the album sold 1,004,000 copies.
It also set a new record for the fastest-selling holiday album in the Soundscan era and tied Celine Dion's record for the highest debut by a holiday album in the history of Billboard magazine.
The album was certified platinum by the RIAA in January of 2005 for shipments of 1 million copies sold in the United States.
Critical Reception[]
Rolling Stone wrote that Aiken sang "each note as perfect as if it were a Disney special" and Allmusic wrote that the album "seems to benefit his performance."
